We'll pick Swinbrook to get the better of Royal Dignitary and Angaric in this contest. The better ground will be more to the liking of Richard Fahey's gelding than when he became a bit one paced while in contention over this trip in heavy conditions earlier in the month at Ripon. Although carrying top weight, some of these won't take much beating. Royal Dignitary's been first or second in his last four outings, with the victories coming in a lower grade but over a mile. He's been staying on well, and won't be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip. And Angaric has claims too, regularly making the frame in this sort of contest. The draw could be a hindrance though, so for our selection we go with Swinbrook.
