Distant Country is the one to beat here with Taggerty and Aljomar the others worthy of consideration. The selection ran well in a handicap at Leicester last week and also performed soundly enough prior to that on this track. This looks easier than those races and Distant Country with the assistance of Jamie Spencer is a confident selection. Taggerty is a pretty consistent sort and could be the one to chase our selection home. Taggerty rarely runs a bad race but has had plenty of chances and is unlikely to be good enough to beat Distant Country. Aljomar could run well at a big price after putting in a much improved performance with the cheekpieces on at Catterick last time. This race will not take much winning, and Distant Country looks to have solid claims.
