Time Marches On is the confident selection here with Cezzaro, Silent Memory and Emperors Well also worthy of plenty of respect. The selection was a big disappointment over hurdles at Hexham last time and is fairly exposed, but ran well enough at Ripon back in April to suggest that he will go close here. He ran well without getting a clear run in this race at Redcar last year, and looks the one to beat. Cezzaro travelled strongly in an apprentice handicap at Nottingham last month but tailed away inside the final furlong and this trip could stretch the stamina once again. Emperors Well is from a shrewd yard and is upped in trip here so any market support for the Mick Easterby charge should be noted. Silent Memory has been tried at a variety of trips and is again dropped here, but she is inconsistent and can't be supported with any real confidence. There are doubts surrounding most of the field, and while Time Marches On has also disappointed at times, our selection looks to be the one to beat here in a poor race.
