ARCHITRAVE was beaten comfortably at Chepstow a few days ago but is worth chancing in this maiden, while Indochina, Ting Ting and Navy List can get involved. The selection represents Sir Mark Prescott who, admittedly, is more noted for his older horses. However, this Hernando gelding is related to plenty of winning juvenile stock over a trip like this, and he is likely to come on plenty for that first run in what was a reasonable race in context. With the yard's top pilot up we will side with him. Navy List has had a few chances and has been runner-up over a mile at both Lingfield and Kempton in recent maidens. He looks obvious enough here and the step up in trip should suit, but he didn't look hugely keen on going by last time so we'll oppose him. Indochina is interesting for Mark Johnston after a green Epsom debut and there should be plenty of improvement to come given the yard's usual profile for this type of runner, so we will check out the market for clues. Ting Ting was a little one-paced at Beverley so the extra furlong should suit, though given her pedigree she may well be better suited by slower ground. Storm Command is kept to maiden company by Bryan Smart and is perhaps not improving quickly enough to win this, and preference is for Architrave.
