Verdict
With the Brian Meehan team going well we will give SECRET QUEEN one more chance to get off the mark here against her own sex, while Melundy looks the one for the forecast. The selection is dropped back in trip from a mile to this 6f today and that should not be much of a problem, as if anything she raced last time as though she is more of a sprinter. Her previous tries over this trip and 7f saw her show enough speed to take a minor contest like this and this can be her day. Melundy ran second here over course and distance in a median auction contest and Linda Stubbs has her relatively small string in good shape, so hopefully this daughter of Best Of The Bests can show improvement for connections. Laureldean Desert was given a quiet introduction at Beverley and should be better for both that and the extra furlong here, so watch the market for any confidence. Chushka has a similar profile and ran green here on debut, but can show us more today, while both Chardonnay and Alhena are related to juvenile winners and require a check in the betting lists to see what stable confidence there is behind them. Secret Queen can finally break her duck.
