        Verdict

        Platinum Charmer can come out on top in the claimer, with Just Waz and Mystified other leading contenders. Platinum Charmer has not visited the winner's enclosure since landing a class 5 handicap at Musselburgh in 2005, but has been plying his trade in handicaps, gradually slipping down the weights in the process. Karl Burke has now decided to lower the seven-year-old's sights even further, and surely he will be able to take advantage. Just Waz is another that has been finding things hard, and has even been hurdling, while Mystified also had a spell timber-topping earlier in the year. Based on his last run over two miles at Musselburgh, Roger Fisher's inmate might just appreciate the slight drop back in trip, and could go close today. The market will be a pointer to the chances of the rest no doubt, but we return to Platinum Charmer as the answer.
