Satyricon gets the vote ahead of Rainbow Fox, Onatopp and Sea Rover. Satyricon has in the main been a consistent performer this year, reaching the frame three times from five starts, including when a close third behind Sweet Gale on Lingfield's Turf course seven-days ago. That was a big improvement on his initial effort on grass at Newmarket, and with a first-time visor now fitted, Marco Botti's colt should run a big race. Rainbow Fox is slipping down the handicap and shaped well at Leicester last time, but might find conditions too fast, while Onatopp shaped well from a wide draw when second at Thirsk eight days ago, and starts life in handicaps on a fair enough mark. Sea Rover was a creditable fifth in a class 3 event at York last time, considering that he was racing from 2lb out of the handicap, and in addition to being dropped in grade, he now tackles a trip more in keeping with his breeding. Mel Brittain's runner is expected to go well, but we will take him on with Satyricon.
