Nonrunner
There have been big price winners of this race in the last couple of years, and with a large field set to contest it there could be some each-way value to be had, but to win it we'll side with DANTE DEO, in preference to Ask Dan and Night Knight. A winner last time out, David Barron's filly carries a six pounds penalty for that success over seven furlongs. It was a narrow success, but came after she'd been bumped by the runner-up. That result saw a big improvement from previous races, but a similar performance may be good enough here, and the yard's bang in form. She looks the pick of his two runners, the other being Paint Splash. Ask Dan was a few lengths behind in fourth on what was his turf debut, and connections will hope for a reversal given that they're off level weights today. Night Knight drops down in trip and has a first time visor which may bring about some improvement. It's a poor contest though, with few being anything to write home about, but the selection is Dante Deo.
