This looks the weaker of the two divisions of this contest and we'll side with Demeanour to take it. Ed Dunlop's filly was well educated by Seb Sanders on her Newbury debut, where she finished fourth despite not appearing to be asked too many questions. Her pedigree suggests that this extra furlong will be to her advantage and she can improve to score. Looking down the list there is some pretty poor form on offer from those who have had a run and Mark Johnston's Kochanski may turn out next best on her debut. The King's Best filly has a superb pedigree and this will be an ideal trip for starters so it will be interesting to see how she performs. Madamlily is another nicely bred debutant whose effort should be noted here. Nimmy's Special has offered little in two starts and Punch Drunk, from an in-form yard, looks a better proposition. Not a hot contest and Demeanour can win it.
