Aathar has a couple of lengths to find with Combat Zone but is taken to reverse the form; Kite Wood may prove to be the most interesting of the remainder. The selection looked in need of the run when finishing third, 2 lengths behind the odds-on Combat Zone who had already had the benefit of a run, at Sandown and normal improvement can see him finish in front of the bin Suroor runner this time around. Neither he nor the Godolphin runner have any fancy entries but Kite Wood has some Group engagements to his name already and would have to be feared if the market were to give out the right signals. Achromatic finished last in a Yarmouth maiden in which Poster was fourth but Swinburn's runner attracted heavy support in the ring that day and better was expected. Squad is another with big race entries whilst Makhaaleb was only around a length behind Combat Zone at Newmarket and should improve but is passed over by Richard Hills here. Medlock is another potential improver in an interesting start to the day but Aathar gets the vote.
