The feature race straight mile handicap looks very open, and we'll go with Gala Casino Star to land the spoils, ahead of Last Three Minutes and Violent Velocity. The selection has won four of his last five outings for Richard Fahey, albeit at a level below. But he and seems capable of coping with different conditions. He's gaining weight from a couple of the others, and Jamie Moriarty can claim 3 pounds. The last success was unpenalised with it being an apprentice handicap. Last Three Minutes has to cope with a low draw, and makes his handicap debut. Successful on his one run this season, it was at a lower grade and a furlong further, but he won with plenty in hand. The drop back could suit. Violent Velocity is likely to be held up; chasing a second win of the season he's regularly placed, and if able to overcome a low draw should be involved here too. But in a very competitive looking heat, we side with Gala Casino Star.
