Rio Guru can land the opener at the main expense of Crackentorp and Miss Carlotta. The selection has had a few chances now but she wasn't beaten far behind a couple of useful types at Yarmouth last time and we are prepared to give her another chance here to get her head in front. Crackentorp looks the main danger as he showed up well on his debut and he should be suited by this step-up in trip. Miss Carlotta also has to be of interest as she was an eyecatcher on her debut when she chased home Mezzanisi here. She is open to further improvement and she should be thereabouts at the finish. Candy Rose is an interesting newcomer from the Marcus Tregoning yard and she is worth a market check, but Rio Guru makes plenty of appeal and she gets the vote.
