CLOUDY START was out-pointed by the smart Alwaary on his last outing at Yarmouth but that form should be more than enough to see through here. He raced rather keenly throughout that contest which is a slight concern but that was due to the fact his rider failed to obtain cover from a low draw. Dropping back to seven furlongs should suit. It is disappointing that Taazur has not scored since been stepped up in trip and he did not shape like a definite stayer last time. Battle Royal and Blue Noddles can be expected to benefit for their debuts. The form of the Catterick maiden contested by Blue Noodles has been franked by the second who was an easy winner at Nottingham on Wednesday. Threestepstoheaven contested a strong Doncaster maiden last time with the ninth since franking that form at Salisbury during the week. The soft ground on Town Moor would not have been in his favour and if the market speaks in favour of Barry Hills juvenile he would be of interest. Mark Johnston has been experiencing a good run with his juveniles of late and Duke Of Normandy, a son of first season sire Refuse To Bend, is another that could literally be anything hailing from these quarters so if confidence is expressed in the market he would be an obvious danger to the selection which is Cloudy Start.
