When one takes into account ratings and race conditions Total Gallery stands out like a sore thumb and this race has been a long term target for Stan Moore's charge, a yard that bid to win this race for the second successive year. But the top-rated horse in the race may just be flattered by his lofty rating and Brae Hill is put up as a rather tentative selection. Third last time at Doncaster, Michael Bell's gelding showed excellent early pace there, finding the seven furlongs beyond him in the process. The drop back by a furlong will suit and he could be the value bet in the race for a combination that can do little wrong at present. Total Gallery did not enjoy the clearest of passages at Ayr's Western meeting in the Roseberry but his early season form in the Windsor Castle and the Richmond leaves him with a big chance and has contributed to his lofty rating. Khor Dubai has ground to make up on Total Gallery based on their Richmond form and it is hard to see why he should reverse that form. It is hard to assess Zuzu but she has been relatively lightly raced and more than likely targeted at this race. She showed signs of grenness last time which indicates she is still learning and she looks a major player here. Viva Ronaldo tends to get himself worked up before his races but there is not much to choose between him and Brae Hill based on their Doncaster clash. Frognal had a relatively simple task on the all-weather last time and was only workmanlike in landing the short odds on offer there. Wave Aside, the second of Brian Meehan's runners won what appeared a weak maiden at Newbury two weeks ago and will need to improve. Anglezarke found the heavy conditions against her at Ayr and the belief remains that her best form is over five furlongs. BRAE HILL is selected to land the 2008 Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy.
