Verdict

Resplendent Alpha goes well for a girl and will get plenty of assistance from the saddle today. He was racing over a trip too short at Musselburgh last time and looks well enough treated to make the frame at least. Market Puzzle is on the same mark as when last successful at Haydock in September and will like the conditions so he's on the short-list but SPIN CAST looks to have much more scope than either and gets the vote. Ian Williams' charge was having just his second race on turf when beating Glass Mountain over this trip at Yarmouth and George Downing's claim takes care of most of the 4lb weight rise. Jordaura hasn't been running well on the all-weather but he won on soft going at Bath in September and can run from a 5lb lower mark here.
