Star City did well in his first three starts over this trip but faded rapidly on soft ground over an extra furlong at Ayr in September. Tortoni looks moderate and his one poor run came when tackling ground with plenty of give at Haydock but Willies Wonder only faded in the closing stages over 7f on soft going at Warwick and is an obvious threat to all. Adverse started favourite for a Southwell maiden a couple of weeks ago but was beaten a long way and is best watched for now. Roger Charlton's newcomer Stir Trader is from a speedy family and one to note but this can go to INTENSE PINK. Chris Wall's filly was well beaten on her Newbury debut but showed the benefit with a fine run at Yarmouth and this half-sister to six winners should do much better in her second campaign.
