In depth

Verdict

An ultra-competitive 'lucky last' and narrow preference is for Gallego ahead of Mister Jingles and Passing True. Now dropped back to a mile, the selection should be involved in the finish if getting luck in running. His wide draw is certainly not ideal, but he is a hold up horse anyway so assuming that he gets the gaps late on, he can get his head back in front. Mister Jingles has won three of his last four races since the application of a visor and if he takes to the blinkers today, then he must be feared although the step up in trip doesn't look ideal. Passing True has shown ability in three qualifying runs and allotted a mark of 63 for his handicap debut, he should be monitored for market support. Young Bertie is very consistent and should once again run his race, whilst Doubly Guest is better than his poor recent showing and could go well at a price. Cowgirl, Astroangel and Keisha Kayleigh are all consistent performers but each needs to step up on recent efforts. Just Dust likes this ground and should be respected despite his woeful recent runs, however Gallego is fancied to get his head back in front.
