Internationaldebut should go close but may again have to settle for second behind MARINE BOY whilst Baldemar remains one to keep an eye on. Marine Boy looked a potential star when making a winning debut at Newbury in 2008 but then struggled a little up in class. That said he wasn't beaten far in the Mill Reef on his final start before a winless season last year. He wouldn't be the first horse to struggle as a three-year-old before going on again and the key to him looks to be this trip on quick ground; we fancy he'll prove up to winning off this mark sooner or later. Internationaldebut has gone close twice already this year but his mark has gone up 4lbs as a result and he didn't look to go through with his effort when travelling powerfully to the furlong pole last time. This is tougher and he's taken on for win-only purposes. Baldemar made an eye-catching return at Doncaster before putting in a laboured display at Wolverhampton, but he's worth forgiving as that was his first start on an artificial surface. He's only 4lbs higher than his last winning mark and remains capable of landing a decent prize this term. He's preferred to stablemate Castles In The Air who may now just need seven furlongs, especially with the ground this quick. Hotham would have a better chance were this over five, Go Go Green is unbeaten here in three starts but usually needs a run whilst Damika is hard to win with and prefers cut. Thebes and King's Wonder are others to consider but the vote goes to Marine Boy in a cracking heat.
