MISTER TINKTASTIC and Northern Flyer are holding their form well and, of the pair, it is the first-named who is narrowly preferred. Michael Dods' progressive three-year-old comes here on the back of a third-place finish at Catterick but he lost little in defeat. His two previous wins in June had come at more testing tracks and, now returned to a stiff finish, he looks sure to run well back over six furlongs; he looks like one of the better bets on the card. Whatyouwoodwishfor cannot be underestimated as he drops down the ratings, Go Alone looks high enough in the weights at present, whilst Merry Diva is an interesting raider from the Chris Wall yard having won here before. Red Kyte is another course winner, similarily over five furlongs, whilst Northern Flyer has suffered two near misses of late and now drops in trip. Oriental Rose has shaped recently as if a win is not far away, Captain Kallis should appreciate better ground, whilst the step back up in trip looks sure to suit Wotatomboy. An open finale but the feeling is that Mister Tinktastic is very much worth backing.
