Bravely doesn't have the most consistent profile in the world and it may pay to look elsewhere; preference is for course specialist MR WOLF from a good low draw. The selection benefitted from his gate opening slightly early on the 8th June when winning here; however, he would probably have won regardless. A speed ball, the former David Barker-trained runner can often break his rivals from the front and the same is expected today. Sir Nod doesn't appear amazingly handicapped following a Carlisle win in June, so a bigger threat may be Lord Of The Reins who ran well in a more competitive race last time. Avertuoso will pop up at some point this year as he looks enticingly well-handicapped, a similar comment applies to Hits Only Jude, whilst Kheylide disappointed last time but is capable of better. King Of Swords shaped as if a win was not far away when beaten at Catterick last time; the return to five furlongs will suit and he has a plum draw to work from. The other to mention is Blessed Place; a course and distance winner, he beat an in-from rival at Thirsk last time and cannot be ignored although he will need to be darn quick to lead Mr Wolf who is fancied to make all.
