DANCE THE STAR hasn't really gone on from last year but it may pay to keep the faith and he's preferred to King Supreme and Balnagore amongst others. David Simcock is on target to achieve a seasonal best in terms of winners and the string have maintained their form throughout the season. Dance The Star has shown his best form around this circuit in the past and ran his best race of the year when, arguably, given too much to do over twelve furlongs on his latest start. Neither the pound rise nor the shorter trip are ideal but he could get away with it. King Supreme has contested claimers the last twice but he should be effective in this grade from his current mark and holds his form well enough to be feared but he often hits the frame. Balnagore posted a decent effort over course and distance last month under today's pilot which brings him firmly into the equation whilst a return to racing on an all-weather surface on his run back from a break could see a vastly improved performance from Stand Guard who has dropped down to a nice mark. Polish Power's best recent performances have come in selling and claiming company but it would be folly to dismiss him as it would Mista Rossa and Wind Flow who have dropped to marks from which they've proved competitive in the past and who could be revitalised by the fitting of headgear. The selection, though, is Dance The Star.
