Verdict
Global Village is likely to be popular but we prefer the claims of NORCROFT this evening with Many Welcomes as the other notable horses in this affair. Debbie Mountain's charge has won his last two races at Kempton but he's likely to be priced accordingly so we seek some value elsewhere. Course regular, Norcroft, fits the bill here. He ran creditably in a visor at Southwell and if in similar mood, he will give another good account. Many Welcomes won well at Chester last time out. That was no mean effort to oblige from a high draw but conditions are markedly different here. Takaamul beat Global Village at Yarmouth in June though he has possible issues in relation to the ground. Mugeba doesn't win particularly often though is worth another try over seven furlongs. Straight Face has become something of a regular in plating company. My Flame returns from a brief absence. Norcroft is a token pick in a race that looks distinctly unmemorable on paper.
