ROYAL DIAMOND looks a strong selection in the last with Piper's Song and Trachonitis as the alternatives. Sir Mark Prescott is no stranger to gleaning improvement for stepping his horses up in trip and his Kings Best gelding dotted up in fine style at Sandown last time out. A 6lb penalty should not stop him. Piper's Song is arguably well treated on some of his earlier form though winning is not something he does too regularly. Trachonitis is something of a dual purpose performer for John Jenkins. He faced a tough ask at Epsom last time and this looks much more realistic. Valvigneres clearly isn't the easiest of individuals to train as he seems to have plenty of absences on his card. Nevertheless, Ed Dunlop's handicappers have been in good nick so if the market speaks in his favour, he has to be respected. Royal Premier is out of form whilst the others are out of their depth. Royal Diamond is taken to post a follow up tonight.
