Fire Away, the sole UK runner, has understandably found life more difficult this term after rattling up five wins last year. He contested a better race at Cartmel when last seen but has only come down 1lb after being well beaten and may need a little more leniency from the assessor. It's been a while since Torygraph showed any competitive juices but Gordon Elliott also runs HERMANN CLEMENT and the gelding can follow up a comfortable enough success over course and distance this month on what was just a second chase start for the yard. He should improve again and the 10lb he receives from Fire Away can prove key.
