SPANISH MANE has obliged twice inside a month at Brighton and it’s fair to say that the value of her most recent effort on this track has been well advertised in the interim. Mr Fayez has been given a chance by the handicapper albeit his losing run now extends to 16 starts. Split Elevens is yet to win on Turf though his more compelling efforts have been produced with today’s rider aboard. Thakrah is a particularly well-bred individual but she has yet to beat a rival home since leaving Shadwell and joining Robert Cowell. Any money for the blinkered Shalfa would be of interest given Marco Botti’s string have started to find a little form.
