In depth

Verdict

Imperial Storm got going too late at Wetherby and will be fancied to make in third-time lucky and Memors also came from well off the pace when second at Musselburgh. Calidad has had wind surgery and is a likely improver and I'm Spellbound is progressing with experience. Ayr fourth Everyday Champagne could have more scope than stablemate Release The Kraken while Dom Perry’s Fakenham win has been franked. WALKING ON AIR ran green at Kempton so did well to finish second. A half-brother to three winners, he should know more today though any market support for the €110,000 purchase Wolfspear, a half-brother to hurdler/chaser Sensulano, would be significant.
