In depth

Verdict

A typically-open renewal but GRAN PARADISO has been in fine form at Sedgefield recently and he handled good going well enough last time. This is a lot more competitive than his usual tasks but he’s still at the right end of the handicap, despite a further 9lb rise. The better ground might pose problems for a few of these including long-distance raider Tea Time On Mars, Head To The Stars and Cyclop but Alminar is a possibility and Duc De Grissay usually attracts market support, though is having a rare run away from Hexham. Boyhood is a strong stayer who is still fairly unexposed over fences but this may be too tough for Mance Rayder and Overworkdunderpaid while Lithic’s dubious resolution has been exposed lately. Big Difference could figure, however, if he lasts home.
