Silent Wonder has not progressed as much as may have been anticipated after two promising first outings but it may have been that she did not handle the Fibresand at Southwell so Robert Cowell's filly has to be respected but a better bet may be GILT EDGE GIRL, who gets the verdict ahead of Harry Patch. The last mentioned looks the pick of the newcomers and the son of Diktat has to be respected with Michael Jarvis continuing to churn out winners. Bryan Smart's Belle Choisir and Tom Dascombe's Tikka Masala are other newcomers worthy of a mention but a bigger threat is likely to come from Fasliyanne. Kevin Ryan's filly has run to a consistent level of form and she should again be thereabouts. Gilt Edge Girl created a favourable impression on her debut when beaten a short head by Red Rosanna in a Pontefract auction maiden on her debut and a reproduction of that effort may be enough for the Clive Cox-trained filly.
