Stormy View is selected ahead of Gingham, Alserraaj and Reclamation. The usual comments apply when assessing a three year old handicap full of unexposed sorts and a number are worthy of interest including Astania, Princess Livius, Flop and Tara's Garden. Reclamation has already got a win on the board and an 8lb rise may not prevent her from following up but this trip already looks to be a minimum and the race is more competitive. Gingham went into a few notebooks when staying on pleasingly last time and support for her should be taken seriously with her yard respected. Alseraaj disappointed when stepped up in trip at Warwick but it may be best to put a line through that run and the form of her previous start has worked out exceptionally well. She's fitted with a tongue tie today and that may well make the difference. The selection was the yard's second string when also taking the eye with a running on, never nearer effort at Goodwood. She wasn't far behind Conduit on her final start at two either which all points to her being feasibly handicapped so Stormy View gets the nod.
