Not a strong contest but Harvest Joy, Bert's Memory and Love On Sight appear the more obvious contenders on paper and our choice is for the first named. Harvest Joy finished narrowly ahead of Love On Sight when they met at Newbury and while it would be no surprise to note that Love On Sight is open to potentially more improvement, the way in which Rod Millman's filly stayed on would be enough to suggest that she has finally realised what the game is all about. Bert's Memory was given a relatively low key introduction to the game at Wolverhampton but third placed, Princess Ileana ran a stormer at listed level last Sunday so there could be some mileage in the form. Namarian is owned by course bookmaker, Maurice Lindsay so any market move would very much be of interest. Grand Lucre was pitched into a very hot Newmarket contest and sights appear to have been dramatically lowered here. Beautiful Madness is potentially open to improvement and is watched in the market. Harvest Joy impressed as a likely future winner and is offered the tentative vote.
