Special Gold, Bahhmirage and Namir are among a difficult shortlist and it is to Special Gold we offer our selection. Tim Easterby's representative has had plenty of chances but the handicapper is at least granting her respite and in a field where few are in-form, there is a chance that she could get away with it over the extra furlong. Bahhmirage ran well in maidens earlier in the season and as Stef Liddiard won this race last year, it is interesting that Eddie Ahern has taken the ride. Namir won for Stef Liddiard at Pontefract and is making a second start for Roy Bowring. Of the remainder, Suhezy is not without hope if reproducing some of his better form. Centreofattention has shown glimpses of ability and could be one to watch at longer odds. Not a race for the feint hearted and one that Special Gold could nick from the front.
