Verdict

A fascinating conditions race and we will just side with the Godolphin runner Hinterland, Shumookh and Jo'burg could be the main rivals. The selection disappointed in the Cambridgeshire when trained by Michael Jarvis, but had shown excellent form prior to that run. If back to his best this afternoon he will take all the beating. The Jarvis yard are represented by Shumookh, an impressive winner at Pontefract last October, before running poorly at Nottingham. One bad run can be forgiven and he looks a major threat this afternoon. Jo'Burg is the only three-year-old in the line up but he took on some of the best last season and following two promising efforts this term he could be spot on for this. Kew Green looks the pick of the three remaining runners, but if Hinterland returns to his best he should collect first prize.
