Nottingham has already been a lucky place for the owners of Out The Ordinary this season and they can enjoy their visit to Colwick Park even more if their charge runs up to expectations this evening. Sands Crooner, who was down the field in an ordinary Norfolk Stakes, and Secret Night, a consistent filly from the in-form Mick Channon yard, can provide the sternest challenges from the rest. Secret Night put in her best effort to date when chasing home a potentially useful type at Salisbury 10 days ago and will be hard to shake off if she is in the same frame of mind tonight. It may well be that she needs a little give underfoot, though. And any rain will help her cause. Sands Crooner is becoming hard to win with and it may be dangerous to read too much into his mid-division finish in the Norfolk Stakes last time. That form has already taken a couple of knocks and it may be more profitable to look elsewhere. Which brings us back to Out The Ordinary, who has more scope for improvement that his main rivals here. This brother to Molcombe Stakes winner Inya Lake, has already displayed a lively turn of foot and, with Graham Gibbons back in the plate, the partnership have plenty going for them again this time around.
