        Verdict

        Samovar has been on a real roll but only beat Golden Cue a short-head here 10 days ago and is a pound worse off. The second has also been well beaten at Catterick since. Little Boy Blue looked poised for a good season after a fair third behind Dan’s Dream at Bath but then disappointed at Thirsk, though still finished ahead of Angel Force. Dotted Swiss ran a couple of good races on Polytrack last month but is having a first try on Turf. ROCKIES SPIRIT has been showing plenty of pace over longer trips and might just enjoy this first run over the minimum. He gets a tentative vote with Dahik having changed stables and racing for the first time on a soft surface.
