A field large in numbers but low in quality and on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning. However the main protagonists appear to be Compton Chick, Pougatcheva and Princess Claudia and we will take a chance on Compton Chick. The five year old has been in good form of late goes on the ground and still looks to be on a fair mark, and if her confidence has not been effected by unshipping her rider over course and distance last time she will be hard to beat. Pougatcheva rates the main danger on his best form but all his wins have come with more cut in the ground and he has yet to prove his stamina over a trip this far so for that reason he is opposed here. Princess Claudia is another worthy of respect on her lates third behind Fountain Bank. However she is still a maiden after 19 runs. Of the remainder Aifung and Little Daphne are from shrewd yards and should be watched closely in the market.
