A typically open maiden for the course and not too many can confidently be ruled out. However, it may pay to persevere with Silver Prelude, who may have too much toe for St Regs and Primo Way at this trip. The selection has done well in both starts since making his debut in a similar event at Newbury in May - the form of which received a solid boost when Blue Tomato obliged at York on Saturday. The Dean Ivory-trained colt is related to some speedy types and his position in stall 14 will be a big aid when he bids to live up to his profile tonight. St Regs makes obvious appeal after a couple of encouraging runs, but the market is likely to have that covered and he may be vulnerable on his first try over the minimum trip. Eezaa Geezer and Specotina already have improvement to find so Primo Way may be the one to give Silver Prelude the most to do.
