Verdict

Art Museum can give Aidan O'Brien another victory in this race, with stablemate Ivan Denisovich, Prince of Light and Amadeus Wolf taken to chase him home. The Ballydoyle stable won this 12 months ago with Ad Valorum and on the evidence so far, Art Museum looks every bit as good and should duly land a hat-trick to cement his claims for next year's 2,000 Guineas. In fact the son of Storm Cat is following exactly the same route as last year's winner, having landed the same Curragh race before coming over to Newmarket. The Irish form has worked out well, and the decision to run here rather than in the Grand Criterium at the weekend is hopefully the right one. Ivan Denisovich looked the part when landing the TNT July Stakes here in July but was beaten by Silca's Sister in the Prix Morny, and although at one time he appeared to be the stable's main Guineas hope, the arrival on the scene of George Washington and Art Market has put a different complexion on things. He should still go well though and makes slightly more appeal than the improving Prince of Light, successful in the Group 3 Sirenia stakes on the July Course but with more to do now. He deserves his place in the line-up though along with Gimcrack winner Amadeus Wolf and Coventry Stakes hero Red Clubs. However, Art Market could be a star in the making and can make it three out of three.
