Red Badge deserves a change of luck but he may not be able to match AZIZI whilst Damietta is sure to have her supporters. Pallantes Cross appears to have enough weight for what he's actually achieved although there was no disgrace in failing to match strides with Poets Voice. Damietta stepped up on her debut form to cosily land a maiden at Kempton in a race where the principals appeared to be above average. Azizi caught the eye behind Showcasing on debut before making quite hard work of landing the spoils at Lingfield. He found life easier at Newcastle despite being caught flatfooted when the pace quickened. The form is only ordinary but he did it well and appears to be improving with experience. Red Badge has had the misfortune to bump into some decent sorts in maidens where he has often finished his race off well; he again finished full of running in a sales race at York when finding all sorts of trouble. He appears sure to relish the seventh furlong and could be dangerous. Right Rave, Deloria and Pintura all have bits of form that make them of interest and all have shaped as though they will relish this stiffer test of stamina. Pat Haslam's pair cannot be dismissed out of hand either but Azizi appears to have a touch of class.
