Hannicean has struggled in handicaps since opening his account in a Nottingham maiden on his first start as a three-year-old but has been given a chance by the handicapper so cannot be discounted but more solid claims are held by CLASSICAL RHYTHM, who gets the vote with Sky Quest rated the best of the rest. The selection has only won once from 27 starts but has slipped to a decent mark as a result and has shown improved form of late, latterly when a close third behind Sitwell in a Folkestone handicap. Jim Boyle's gelding is hard to back with confidence but he has dropped to a decent mark now and looks worth chancing. Julia Feilden's Sand Repeal won well at Folkestone three starts ago but has failed to run up to a similar level of form in two starts since then and he now looks best watched. Keith Goldsworthy's Bolton Hall has not been in great heart on the level of late but bounced back to winning ways over hurdles at Fontwell recently and he has claims if able to transfer that improvement back to the flat. Jim Boyle's Sky Quest has been running to a consistent level of form of late and was good value for his Newbury success last month but he may prefer a softer surface and preference is for stable companion Classical Rhythm.
