Formerly with Luca Cumani and latterly with Mike De Kock, Bankable now makes his debut for Gary Moore and he is best in at the weights judged by official BHA ratings but the five-year-old is probably best watched on his first start for new connections with a safer option looking to be CAMPANOLOGIST, who gets the vote over Staying On. Walter Swinburn's gelding made a winning reappearance when taking a Listed race at Doncaster in April and has run well in defeat since then most notably when a close second behind Doctor Fremantle in the Huxley Stakes at Chester. He makes more appeal than Sir Michael Stoute's Kingdom of Fife, who has been in good from in handicaps of late but this represents a step up in class and he may not be up to it yet. Mark Johnston's Drumfire is capable but inconsistent and would probably prefer a slight ease in the ground. Richard Hannon's Pure Poetry would have every chance if he could reproduce Goodwood form here, having run two decent races at the Sussex venue this term but his form in general on turf has not matched that on the Polytrack so a safer option looks to be Campanologist. Saeed Bin Suroor's colt has a bit to find with Drumfire on their running at Newmarket last month but the son of Kingmambo is better than he showed that day, ran better in a Group 3 at Haydock last time and a reproduction of form shown that day may well suffice.
