Ice Planet was just touched here last week and is fancied to resume winning ways in this competitive sprint handicap; Kingscross should have ideal conditions here and rates a big danger, while Pinchbeck, Greenslades and Dorchester should also come into the reckoning. The booking of Kieren Fallon certainly catches the eye on Michael Blanshard's Kingscross, who is at his best coming late off a strong pace on soft ground so he looks sure to go well. Pinchbeck struck form with a vengeance in a decent race on the sand at Lingfield last time and if he could translate that form to turf he could be very well handicapped here. Dorchester is on a fair mark and was a good second in a similar race at Windsor the time before last, but remains largely inconsistent. Greenslades has been knocking at the door recently but Peter Makin's charge hasn't won for two years and may have to wait a little longer for the handicapper to give him a sporting chance. Ice Planet, on the other hand, appears to be a step ahead of the assessor. Dandy Nicholls' charge won nicely at Doncaster before being collared close home by Romany Nights in a similar race over course and distance last week. He races off the same mark here, seems to cope with most types of going, and is taken to go one better under Robert Winston.
