Verdict

El Misk has won three times on the all-weather but has yet to run up to that form on Turf. Frankie has ridden him before but prefers First In Line, an excellent second in the Melrose at York last year and far from disgraced in his first try in this grade here three weeks ago. Pablo Escobarr is more than at home in Listed class and was fourth in a Group 2 at Meydan at the start of the year. He was beaten by Universal Order in a handicap in Dubai in January but is now 11lb better off. ALIGNAK (NAP) was brought with a sweeping run to take a handicap at Newcastle at the start of the month. This is a big step up in class but Sir Michael Stoute is a master at improving lightly-raced older horses and he wouldn’t be running in this unless thought up to the task.
