In depth

Verdict

Three times a winner last year, twice on fast ground, EQUIANO SPRINGS was also successful at Newcastle in March and another short break won’t have harmed his chances of another track and trip success. Tin Hat was only beaten a short-head here at the start of the month and connections will be hoping he can go one better off a 2lb higher mark, but there is a chance that Drummond Warrior could get a lot closer today. Colonel Frank pops up now and again but is starting to climb the weights again without winning.
