Verdict

Snowdrop Princess makes most appeal here and is the selection to land the finale where Sterope and Red Icon appear the biggest dangers. The lightly raced Snowdrop Princess was the winner of a Kempton all-weather maiden on only her second start and has had only two outings on turf to-date. Plenty of encouragement can be derieved from her last outing at Doncaster in what was a decent fillies handicap won by the improving Suzi's Decision. It is probable connections will make plenty of use of her here as she has appeared short of pace at vital stages in her races, particularly last time and should those tactics be applied, she has leading claims. Sterope was stepped up in trip last time where she finished a never nearer second behind the eventual winner. A very well bred filly being a half-sister to the yards group performer Multidimensional, she is bred to appreciate a trip and with further improvement likely she has to come into calculations. Vilna was strongly supported to land a Kempton all-weather handicap on Thursday evening but did not impress with his attitude, hanging fire when the chips were down. He could be the type to go well under tender handling from an inexperienced apprentice but on what we saw on Thursday, he is one to avoid. Red Icon is weighted to finish closer to Snowdrop Princess but it would be a surprise if Ralph Beckett's filly were to prove good enough to land it. Snowdrop Princess is the selection to land the finale.
