Roaring Forte gets the nod here ahead of Grande Annee and Timetable. William Haggas has hardly put a foot wrong all season, and his Cape Cross colt Roaring Forte was brought back from a 242-day absence to go very well at Ascot earlier in the month before the lack of a run took its toll close to home. A two week break should have given him ample time to recover and considering how well he won his maiden last year a mark of 82 looks a handy one to have for this, his second handicap outing. We'll take him. Grande Annee will be popular after a maiden win last time and she races off 75, which is another potentially attractive proposition. The ground should suit, though whether she will be as happy over a mile is open to question. This looks an easier assigment for Timetable than his last run over c&d and he wasn't stopping when landing his own maiden at Redcar. Headgear is applied by Henry Cecil and his colt can get very competitive. Ellemujie has to be taken seriously despite top weight and a lengthy losing run but Roaring Forte is the one for us.
