Verdict

EXPLORATOR may well be able to continue his winning spree but there are some interesting alternatives in the line-up with Ajool and Jinto amongst them. George Baker's charge landed a touch on his handicap bow at Lingfield and has quickly added two further victories to his tally with his latest win coming by seven lengths at Ripon. That was arguably his most impressive performance to date and he should go close again despite conceding upwards of 13lbs to his rivals. Jinto is in receipt of 25lbs and has the assistance of Martin Lane in the plate; he lacks a recent run but this half-brother to the smart Holberg is bred to come into his own over middle distances this season and is a fascinating runner. Ajool should also have more to offer over this longer trip whilst Strike A Deal is better than she was able to show at Epsom where the race wasn't really run to suit and could go well but preference is for the rapidly improving Explorator.
