PUMPKIN, Artistic License and River Kirov are the trio for the shortlist in this handicap and the vote is given to Pumpkin. The selection arrives here looking to notch up her third win on the spin. She won with a bit in hand at Kempton last time and with this stiff 6f expected to suit and ideal ground conditions she should be hard to beat. The fact that Sir Michael Stoute has his string in good form is another plus. Artistic License is in good form at present and she ran another sound race at Pontefract last time when she finished third behind Sioux Rising. She should be capable of getting competitive, but off her current mark she may find a couple too good. River Kirov won over this course and distance last month and this easier ground should suit so he can go well, while Zowington will benefit from the return to today's trip. David Nicholls is in a rich vein of form with his runners so Burnwynd Boy could represent some each-way value, but for the winner it is hard to get away from the hat-trick seeking Pumpkin.
