Verdict
Blastie shaped with some promise on his debut at the track but there are some fascinating newcomers including Doctor Of Music, Ordoney and MORNING DRESS and it is the last-named who is marginally preferred. The market should help here as the majority of Mark Johnston newcomers who make a winning start are often backed to do so. This son of Smart Strike has a very interesting pedigree being out of a half sister to a Breeders' Cup Classic winner and with his sales price increasing as a two-year-old, he must have impressed. Doctor Of Music is interesting, although he is bred to be better over further, whilst Neva A Mull Moment is a half-brother to Buachaill Dona and is open to improvement. Arjemis, Simola and Ms Sophie Eleanor all step up in trip and improvement should come from each, whilst Ordoney is bred to be effective over this trip and whilst the number of winning debutants from his yard can be counted on one hand, he may not have to be amazing to win this. An open heat to kick off the card but we will take a chance on Morning Dress.
