A tough start to the card and from a shortlist of ENSNARE, Bramalea, Iceman George and Sky Quest we will side with Ensnare as the pick. The selection hails from a yard in good form and Ensnare looks to have plenty in his favour as he bids to complete a hat-trick of successes. He won with a bit in hand on his turf debut at Ayr earlier in the month. This slightly longer trip should not be a problem and with the experienced Simon Walker doing the steering he looks the one to beat. Iceman George also arrives here in good form having won two of his last three races and he has ground conditions in his favour tonight. He won over this course and distance last time so we know he gets the stiff 1m2f and he has an obvious chance. Sky Quest is 11-years-old but he has enjoyed a fruitful year so far and he was an impressive winner last time out when he beat Bramalea at Newbury. He proved that day that he can handle cut in the ground but this drop in trip is a slight cause for concern and on this occasion we will take him on. In contrast Bramalea will be suited by this shorter distance and she could be capable of making the frame as she ran well for a long way last time before fading close home. Ensnare makes most appeal here and gets the vote.
