The unexposed Big Noise is preferred to his more experienced rivals. Plum Pudding has a good record at this track but hasn't been at his best of late and would appreciate more cut in the ground, Ivory Lace is entitled to need the run, Jedburgh looks regressive, Forest Dane is better over six and Dingaan is hard to win with whilst Compton's Eleven ran well last time but this trip seems to stretch him as he's finished runner-up eleven times but never won over further than six and a half. Phluke won the same race at Warwick last year and went on to win his next two starts and has claims whilst Purus ran well in a competitive handicap last time and has to enter calculations on the back of that run. Big Noise created a decent impression when winning his maiden at the first time of asking last season and his only defeat in his next three starts came at the hands of the progressive and distinctly useful Royal Rock. He failed to overhaul another lightly raced runner from the Chris Wall stable on his final start at Newbury but that was a useful race with horses liked Don't Panic amongst the also rans. He lacks a recent run and has to race from a 5lb higher mark but his trainer saddled a winner this week and he's open to improvement after just five starts and it will be disappointing if Big Noise can't win this before going on to better things.
